Hygiene inspection checklist
Walk your own premises the way an inspector would, and write down what needs fixing and who will fix it.
Free, no sign-up. A4 landscape, one week per sheet.
| Area or practice | OK | Issue | N/A | What was found | What will be done, by whom | Done (date, initials) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
How to use it
- Pick a regular time, for example weekly, and walk the whole premises with the sheet.
- Answer every line: OK, Issue or N/A. A blank line looks like a check that wasn’t done.
- For each issue, write what you found, what will be done, by whom and by when.
- Sign it off when every issue is done, and keep the sheet with your records.
This sheet does the same job as the FSAI’s hygiene inspection checklist (SC5) in the FSAI Safe Catering pack. See also the EHO inspection checklist.
When paper gets hard to keep up
Paper sheets get missed on busy days, filled in at the end of a shift, and lost when you need them. In Hygivo, the hygiene inspection is a signed checklist on the phone. Every “issue” answer stays open for managers until it is sorted. Checks and records in Hygivo.
This is general information, not advice for your business. Your food safety management system (HACCP plan) and FSAI guidance are the reference. Hygivo is not affiliated with or endorsed by the FSAI.
